More favorites from Kaua'i

This cliff was at our hotel. It has been in a movie... can't remember which one right now. I don't think I had ever seen the movie, so not too important to me. Anyway, we had just hiked up the cliff so that we could look over the edge. When we came down I looked back and saw these two boys jumping! So scary!!! They made it, but I hope my boys never do crazy things like that!

Gavin, the curious one.....

Caleb...

And Gavin on out last night.

My favorite shot of the whole trip is the last one I got. We were at the airport waiting to leave Hawaii. C & G we laying in a window playing games and our plane was just behind them.

More Hawaii

Here is more of our trip...

Looking back at the pictures, I cannot believe I let me babies in that water. You can tell by looking at the waves how rough it was!

Taking pictures at the hotel one night...

This was the boys favorite... even Scott's! Gavin would go down this slide over and over and over. After about 5-6 times he would swim over to us, get out, tell us he loved us and run back to go back down again.

We did a lot of nothing on this vacation. It was so nice! I read 4 books and my guys played their Nintendo DS. Here Scott is saving the princess on Mario.

Last Day

ok - how come no one ever told me today was going to be hard? Yes, everyone talks about how sad the first day of kindergarten is, but what about the last day? This morning I walked the boys up to the school. Gavin always kisses and hugs me good-bye. Caleb, however, tells me bye in the car. I think he is already a little embarased of me! Anyway, this morning Caleb walked away and then turned back to me and wanted a hug and a kiss. I think he realized that this was the last day. I walked away with tears in my eyes. After today they will never be in kindergarten again!!!

I went back up to the school for the boys Awards Ceremony. Caleb got an award for Class Cut-up. Mrs. Lee tells me stories all the time about the funny things he does in class. Gavin got the art award..... very proud of both of them.

When we were leaving school, I noticed C & G were quiet in the backseat. I turned around and noticed that Gavin had tears streaming down his face. I pulled over and he crawled into my lap just bawling. I knew exactly what was wrong, because he is so much like me. He explained to me that he was worried that his friends would not be back next year or not be in his class. It is now 5:15 and he is still talking about how sad he is about summer being here and not seeing his friends everyday. What a little sweetheart! On a happier note, Caleb is signing "school's out," without a care in the world.......

28 Days - Day 24

Photo assignment: view from your front door

Right now it is a BIG deal when it comes to checking the mail, so I wanted to make sure and get a shot of one of the boys going to check it. If I check it before they come home, I get in trouble and the boys fight over whose day it is.... I'm sure a couple of months from now no one will want to walk out there, but today this is important :)

28 Days - Day 23

Photo assignment: picture of something you display in your home.

This is one of my favorite things..... impressions of the boys' tiny feet and hands at 6 weeks.

Kindergarten Graduation

It seems like just yesterday that I could not believe my babies were going to kindergarten. Now they have graduated! Time is flying way too fast. This was a sad day, but so much fun! We were blessed with 2 wonderful teachers and a great school!

Mrs. Lee and Caleb....

Mrs. Walker and Gavin...

Our little graduates....

28 Days - Day 20

Photo assignment: your living room

28 Days - Day 17

Photo assignment: something colorful

Fresh cherries....yum!

28 Days - Day 16

Photo assignment: a pile of… whatever

We all have them. You know what I'm talking about: the pile that sits and grows… papers, junk mail, or bills. Whatever your pile is, take a picture of it. If you can't think of anything, ask yourself this: "what's the stack of stuff I clean up right before company comes?" That's probably your pile of… whatever!

My pile sits just inside my kitchen....
