Round Top Antique Week

I celebrated my birthday with my good friend Tracy in Round Top, Texas during Antique Week.  We spent 4 days doing nothing, but junking!  It was serious work shopping for Tracy's new home and finding fun new/old things to re-do mine.

We met the Junk Gypsy girls one day.  They were so nice.  I love their show.  If you have not seen it, you must check it out.  Love their style!

I loved this little place.  It was decorated so cute.
I fell in love with The Happy Chair lady and actually bought a piece of her artwork.
A lot of the people working had cute little "homes" like this set up.  Some of these people were so creative!

I have no room for this old school table and stools, but if I did I would have come home with this.  It reminds me of my Jr. High science lab days.

Tracy and I are already planning our next trip, but don't tell our husbands.  They are still dealing with the junk we just bought!

Our Beach Trip

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Gulf Shores, AL. It was so nice to be lazy with the family! We pretty much just played on the beach, swam in the pools, and watched movies. We did get out occasionally to do a little shopping and eating.
Lyla LOVED the sand and water! She enjoyed building sandcastles and jumping over the waves. Towards the end of the trip she was ready to go back to our house so that she could put on a princess dress. We have now been home 3 days and she has worn nothing but princess dresses.
Caleb enjoyed swimming in the ocean, but anytime he had the opportunity to go to the pool he would. He probably enjoyed lying around the beach house watching movies and eating popcorn just as much as he liked being at the beach.
Gavin could have stayed on the beach all day. He loved getting out as far as we would let him go in the ocean. He scared me several times. He also loved building sandcastles and digging holes.
Haddie did really well for her first trip to the beach. She did not enjoy her sunglasses or sunhat so being outside was a challenge with her. Scott & I took turns taking her in for naps. Boy, did she sleep well there! We usually had to wake her up. She started standing on her own this week. She will be walking soon!
We made some wonderful memories and had a great time just being together!

San Antonio Vacation

I was able to take a little vacation with my friend, Christie. We went to Stampin' Up's Leadership conference in San Antonio. It was great seeing friends from around the country and relaxing a little with just one child :)

We went to Big Lou's Pizza our first night. There were 9 ladies with us and we shared a 42 inch pizza! It was huge and delicious! Gotta check them out if you ever head that way!

Meeting new friends and catching up with old ones :)
Haddie was a good little traveler. Love that girl!
On the riverwalk. We love Mexican food, but Christie & I were tired of it. I think we at it 4 or 5 times in a row!
It was so great to "get away" with my friend :)

Christmas Vacation

We left the day after Christmas for a little vacation...
Yep, we took the kids to the beach. We went to our favorite place in Gulf Shores, Alabama & had the most wonderful time.

We woke up at around 10 everyday, ate as much junk as we wanted, watched some movies, played with some new toys, shopped, swam....

Not a lot of anything, actually!

It was fabulous!!!!

Our Trip to Breckenridge, CO

We left bright and early Christmas morning with the Daugherty's, Kelsey (our wonderful babysitter), and her friend Amanda. We drove all day and stopped along the way in Amarillo at the Big Texan. We ate and almost talked Dwaine into eating the 72 oz. steak. He was smart enough to say no. We did get to watch a guy try, but he did terrible.

Paisley & Lyla... they sure do love each other!
Our crazy kids. Check out the glasses my by boys found here. Are they cool or what? :-)

Sweet girl saying "cheese." She NEVER looks at the camera and smiles. This was a miracle picture!
Day 2, we arrived!!!! The kids knew exactly what to do. They were so excited to play and throw snowballs at each other.

We hurriedly got our ski boots, skis and poles so we would be ready to go the next day.

The end of ski school for the kids. They did so good!
Caleb skiing!
And Gavin! They were being so cool!
A little boy called me an alien lady and looking back at these pictures I can see why! Check out my bug eyes :-)
Can you tell how cold it was. This is my husband who told me he wasn't going to wear his jacket when he wasn't skiing. I will have you know he bundled up as much as possible and wore his jacket everywhere!

The Unpacking begins

We made it home today and Caleb & Gavin could not have been more excited. They were ready to play with the new toys they had to leave on Christmas morning. I got to unpack and do laundry, but I am happy to say it is done! Yay!!!

Want to see our trip? I'm going to do my best to upload tomorrow.
