Puppy Drama

Sunday night out puppy Lucy was hit by a car. I was not home. Scott & the boys were outside and Lucy decided to go across the street to the neighbors house when their son came out. Scott saw a car coming and told the boys to just be still & quiet. He thought she would stay there and then he was going to go get her. Well, she decided to dart back across the street just as the car came by. The lady said she never even saw the dog because she was watching the boys. Anyway, Scott said it looked bad and Gavin got upset. Scott sent the boys to the neighbor's house and he took Lucy to the Emergency Clinic. They kept her for 2 hours with an iv, but said after the shock wore off she seemed fine. She is just very bruised.

Here are the boys with Lucy after we brought her back home.

The next morning Scott & I woke up to blood everywhere. They had left Lucy's iv in and wrapped it up just in case we had to suddenly bring her back in. Lucy picked at the tape all night until she had it hanging out, so Scott & I got to take an iv out of a dog.... Well, actually Scott took it out. I would make a TERRIBLE nurse. I cannot stand to look at things like that! We are so glad Lucy is ok!

So glad your puppy is ok...

We too have seen our dog hit by a car... it was very tragic... our dog was killed as my girls 4&6 stood on the curb and screamed...

God's had a work to do in us... just to forget the horrible memory... to find thanks even in the hard stuff...

We now have a new puppy... and pray her protection!

Grace! ss
