A Room for Lyla

Finally! We have finished the baby room. I did not think we would get it all done before she arrived, but we made it. I cannot wait to have her in it!!!

Belly Cast

On Memorial day Scott and I did this belly cast. It is amazing to look at. WOW I AM huge! It will be fun to look back later at my actual belly :) Now to sand and paint....

A Gift for Lyla

This weekend we went to Dallas to do a little shopping and go to the Mavs game. C & G were given Build a Bear gift cards for Christmas. They decided to use the cards for their baby sister. They each made her an animal and put a special message inside for her.

Art Fest

Gavin's art was chosen to go in this year's Art Fest. We are so proud! He painted the flower on the left and then outlined it in glue. He then did a crayon rubbing to make the picture on the right.

Maternity Pictures

My niece, April Williams, came & took some maternity pics of us. Here are some of my favorites...

Check out this itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini on my ginormous tummy. This swimsuit is so cute!

More comments

I forgot to add this one in my last post of pregnancy comments...

~After telling a lady I had about 6 weeks left, she called me a Big Mamma! Wow!

and just this morning...
~Scott and I were in Sam's. A lady saw me and said "Wow! You ARE pregnant." "Umm yes," I said. "You are due any day right?" I have trouble lying, so I let her know we had a couple of weeks. She did not stop there! "Twins?" she asked. Oh my! Scott & I just started laughing.

Baby Stuff

Here is a sneak peek of Lyla's room. It is really cute in person. This photo does not do it justice. I'll post more photos once the furniture comes in.

Also, I had to post pics of these adorable things my friend Melissa Walters made. She made some cute little hats with flowers that can be switched out. She also took one of my glass bottles and made these sweet covers for them. I LOVE them! If you want to see more of her work, go to www.stitchintimecrochet.etsy.com

Latest Baby Bump pics

The comments have started. I'm considering hiding indoors until Lyla makes her debut. I never got these comments with my last pregnancy and I really was huge! Some of my favorite comments (from strangers):
1. I was asked by 2 older ladies how much longer I had. I told them I had 6 weeks left. One of the ladies told me I looked like I had about 6 minutes!
2. One lady (with a 5 month old) told me I looked miserable. Umm, Thanks! I wanted to tell her I did not FEEL miserable.

I AM big, but I have learned to ONLY compliment a pregnant lady :)

Getting the baby room ready

Scott & the boys painted Lyla's room the day before we had new carpet laid. Her room is ready except for a bed and dresser. We are STILL waiting on her furniture. The latest promised day is this Wed. We will see... I just hope it gets here before she does!

Caleb & his crazy sleep positions

Caleb has always slept in the craziest positions. Even when he was a baby. This was his latest. He had fallen asleep in our bed.... so cute!

Babushka Dolls

A little art the boys & I did for Lyla. She has Babushka dolls in her bedding, so we made her 3 customized sets.

Gavin went with an Hawaiian theme. He painted flowers, rainbows, I (heart) U - backward, and himself.

This is Caleb's. He painted a dad, mom, 2 brothers and calls the smallest one a baby bullet and painted it to look just like one :)

Easter

Way late, but us on Easter Sunday before church and at my parents after church. It was a rainy day which meant egg hunt INSIDE the house...
